First, the piece is lined up, marking the piercing entry and exit points. The piece is then clamped in place before carefully drilling through, repeating the process. The challenge is in the precision and ensuring that the piece does not overheat during the drilling process. The golden piercing is then threaded through the hole. With this piece Hannah wanted to achieve linear and not lateral movement, allowing the golden piercing to move up and down.
