To all our dear friends and supporters.

Where to start?

The enormity of Covid-19 is still sinking in with me, as each day brings new and more drastic news from around the world. It’s scary. It’s unnerving. And we are all in it together. I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and staying healthy.

I am writing this from my studio in London, where outside the streets are emptying by the hour. The HM family is an international one, and I know you will all be sitting in your own cities feeling the same fear, the same uncertainty, the same I-cannot-believe-this-is-really-happening-to-us, as we are here.

In order to participate in the protection of people at this time, we have taken the decision to close the London Showroom to the public, effective immediately, and until further notice. My team are working from home where possible.

We are a small, independent creative business, which is tough even at the best of times! We work with an amazingly talented, loyal group of craftspeople who make our beautiful pieces of jewellery. All these people are sole-traders whose livelihoods depend on people like me designing and selling jewellery.

With this in mind, I have decided I have a responsibility to keep our business running for as long as I possibly can through this. As the situation develops we will have to find creative ways to make a physical product with as little human contact as possible.

I am the first to hold my hands up and acknowledge that the things we make are not life-saving. I do hope however, that in the dark times ahead, we can bring some joy and pleasure to you all.

To all our clients who have bespoke orders in process, please bear with us with timing, but we are continuing to make your pieces for you.

.

.

.

Our website and online store are still open. We will endeavour to fulfil orders as quickly as we can, while we still can. The team remains available to answer all enquiries by email, by phone call and through our website and social media.

In a united effort to do our very best to keep you entertained though these long days of isolation, we will be sharing some great playlists with you. Send us your thoughts, send us your favourite tunes that are helping get you through this, send us pictures of you wearing all your best jewels whilst self-isolating!

I’ll be in touch again with updates, but in the meantime take great care of yourself and all those around you. Stay strong. Stay positive, where you can. Turn the volume up!

Much love, Hannah.

Aguila
Dorada

"The idea for the narrative behind this collection came from a conversation I had with a friend, who told me a tale about an old archaeologist she had once met. He had a deeply weathered face, every line telling a story of his adventures across the world – and, most importantly, he wore a giant gold lion’s head ring. It was battered and beaten up, but mesmerizingly beautiful.

I couldn't get the image out of my head, and from this grew the tale of ‘Aguila Dorada’, based around a character who had sailed the seven seas. "

Mixtape Vol. 2
Gaze/Look
by Tony Bevilacqua

"I started this mix and it took shape pretty quick. I've been in Canada and it's been snowing and peaceful. When you're out in the snow, everything gets quiet, a lot of the noise of the world is absorbed. This mix reflects that. I've titled it Gaze/Look." - Tony Bevilacqua.

It's Only
Rock n Roll
Is it Only
Rock n Roll?

'I said I know it's only rock 'n' roll but I like it’ - The Rolling Stones, 1974

It's Only Rock n Roll is a collection which explores Hannah's fascination with the idea that jewellery can transcend gender, glory in sensuality and embody the spirit of rock and roll in its purest form.

Taking classic rock and roll iconography, Hannah translates their raw power into dark beauty through her use of precious materials and her intricate eye for detail. Without compromise, this sumptuous collection is powerful in sexuality, rich in hard-hitting decadence and tainted with downright depravity.

Mixtape Vol. 1
Songs For Survival

"We are living through turbulent times, and sometimes it is hard not to rage. Making things helps. As does music. And music really helps me make things. And however bad things get politically or otherwise, music and art will always be made and always be shared." - Hannah Martin
